Elevate Therapy is a private therapy office located in Thunder Bay, ON. We are dedicated to providing quality, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive mental health services to our clients. We work with clients who experience a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship concerns. We provide individual and couple’s therapy primarily to adults. MSW Clinical Therapist

Positions: Contract |15 – 30 hours per week

This position is for an independent contractor, which allows you to focus on your work with your clients while we manage the administrative and marketing tasks.

Job Description

As an MSW Clinical Therapist at Elevate Therapy, your primary focus will be on providing high-quality therapy services to individuals seeking support and healing. You will conduct individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to meet each client's unique needs. With a trauma-informed approach, you will sensitively address clients' concerns and experiences, fostering a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment. Collaborating closely with clients, you will develop personalized treatment plans, ensuring that care is centred around their strengths and goals.

Your dedication to ethical and legal standards, including maintaining client confidentiality and professional boundaries, will be integral to your practice. A commitment to ongoing professional growth will be evident as you actively pursue continuing competence goals. Embracing anti-oppressive and anti-racist principles, you will work diligently to promote diversity, equity, and inclusivity in your therapeutic interactions.

As part of our team, you should be willing to provide both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, accommodating the preferences and needs of diverse clients. Your expertise in areas such as trauma, ACT, CBT/DBT, and/or EFT, gained through relevant professional development, will enrich your therapeutic approach and enhance client outcomes. While experience in couples therapy is considered an asset, it is not mandatory for this role.

Education
This position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Candidates must be registered with the OCSWSSW and hold Professional Liability Insurance. Criminal record check, including vulnerable persons, is required.

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience providing quality evidence-based therapy to individuals

  • Understanding and experience working in a trauma-informed model

  • Has a clear direction and plan for their continuing competence goals

  • Works collaboratively with clients from an anti-oppressive/anti-racism lens and is passionate about diversity and equity while actively working to ensure these values are upheld in your practice

  • Understanding and experience providing client-centred care from a strengths-based perspective

  • Willing to provide in-person and virtual sessions

  • Completed professional development courses preferably in the areas of trauma, ACT, CBT/DBT, and/or EFT

  • Experience with couples therapy is considered an asset

Office Manager

Position: 35 hours per week

 

Elevate Therapy is currently seeking an exceptional Office Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient operations of our therapy office. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for individuals seeking therapy services.

 

Job Description

As the Office Manager, you will wear multiple hats, managing a diverse range of tasks that keep our office running smoothly. Your responsibilities will encompass various administrative duties, including social media management, email correspondence, and reception responsibilities. Additionally, you will assist with HR-related matters while ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality protocols. Keeping our office tidy and presentable to provide a calming environment for both clients and staff will be among your key duties. Furthermore, you will excel in client support, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and addressing billing inquiries. Your knowledge and experience will also come into play as you tackle other administrative tasks and projects as needed. Previous experience in a psychotherapy office, health care clinic or familiarity with the Jane App would be a valuable asset, and having some HR knowledge would be highly advantageous.
