The consultation is an opportunity to ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and see if a therapist feels like a good fit. You’re welcome to consult with more than one therapist to find the right match.

Yes. We offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, depending on the clinician and service. Virtual therapy is provided through a secure, confidential platform called Jane and can be a flexible option for many people.

Most individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Some services, such as couples, family, or group therapy, may vary in length. Your therapist can discuss what’s most appropriate for your needs.

Frequency varies based on your goals, needs, and preferences. Some people attend weekly, others bi-weekly or less frequently. This can change over time and is something you’ll decide collaboratively with your therapist.

No. Psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP.

Many extended health benefit plans include coverage for psychotherapy. Coverage depends on your plan and the type of regulated provider (such as a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker). We offer direct billing with select insurance providers when eligible, which may help reduce upfront costs. Please contact us to confirm whether direct billing is available for your plan.

Yes. In addition to private fee-for-service therapy, we offer funded services through Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB), Indian Residential Schools (IRS) supports, and the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP), for eligible individuals. If you’re unsure whether you qualify or have questions about accessing funded services, please contact us and we’d be happy to help.

We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments are subject to the full session fee. This policy helps us maintain availability for all clients.

Yes. Your privacy and confidentiality are taken seriously and are protected within the limits of professional and legal requirements. Your therapist will review confidentiality and its limits with you during your first session.

No. Elevate Therapy is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or are concerned about your safety, support is available 24/7. Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide Crisis Helpline, or contact emergency services if you are in immediate danger.
