As a Master of Social Work student with five years of experience in social work, my goal is to support clients in understanding the bigger picture of their lives. I help individuals connect with their values and strengths while working towards their goals. I believe in the importance of exploring not just your present experiences, but also the deeper layers of your past, in order to support your individual needs.
I also believe that the systems that we exist in play a large role in our lives, which is why my approach includes not only supporting clients to make changes in their lives, but also advocating for systems to change, so that the diverse needs of everyone are supported. As a diversity-affirming and trauma informed therapist, I aim to provide a space where clients can explore their identities without judgment and begin to thrive in self-accepting ways.
My personal journey as someone who was diagnosed as neurodivergent late in life has deeply shaped my approach to therapy. I understand firsthand how discovering something that you didn’t know about yourself can feel overwhelming and disorienting, especially when resources and support are limited. This has fueled my passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families as they navigate these challenges.
I use techniques from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), which I blend to meet the individual needs of each client. By combining these methods, I help clients build emotional regulation skills, clarify their values, and reshape the narratives they tell about themselves - all within a supportive, non-judgmental framework. Whether you are seeking support with understanding yourself better, healing from past experiences, or navigating resources and supports, I am here to walk with you on your journey. Please contact me to book a free 15-minute phone consulation.
